Parkhurst boasts numerous community parks, ranging from hidden gems along the spruit to well-known spots like Verity Park. There are approximately nine parks in Parkhurst. We work with volunteer residents to maintain and beautify these spaces, and regularly deploy the Bubele Africa clean-up crew to help maintain the parks in the area.

PRABOA actively manages Verity Park and has signed a 5-year agreement with Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo through which we have formally adopted the park and committed to ensuring its upkeep. We have also formally engaged Jolly Walker to assist in maintaining the park, including waste management, three daily dog poo removal and support with general maintenance. All of these cost PRABOA monthly.
